The Global Perspective of Tianyi’s Transformation and Development in the Era of AI Digital Intelligence – Tianyi Welding Semi-Annual Work Conference in 2025

On July 19th, Tianyi Welding Group held a 2025 semi-annual work summary and commendation meeting at its headquarters in Changsha. This meeting not only summarized and analyzed the work carried out in the first half of the year, but also analyzed the current economic situation, industry trends, and planned and deployed the future development of the enterprise.

At the beginning of the conference, all employees recited the corporate culture. Then, the first item of the meeting agenda was officially launched – General Manager Duan Jianbao gave a systematic summary of the company’s performance in the first half of the year. He highly praised the breakthroughs made by the company in market expansion, brand expansion, product research and development, and process technology in the first half of the year, and provided practical and feasible solutions to the existing problems.
Facing the current complex and changing situation and challenges, in order to ensure the achievement of the annual economic growth target, he emphasized that the entire group should concentrate their efforts, unite as one, base it on research and innovation, take the intelligent welding production line as the main body of the enterprise’s strategic development, lead innovation with digitalization, rely on the industrial internet, and build an intelligent welding management system and a systematic comprehensive service system covering the entire welding industry chain, gradually achieving the company’s transformation into a high-end equipment-oriented and intelligent service-oriented enterprise.

Li Zhiming, the deputy general manager of Tianyi Welding, delivered a speech titled “Counting the Pearl Chain”. He vividly presented the overall picture of the intelligent welding factory to all employees and emphasized that digitalization is the starting point for reconfiguring the value chain. It connects all links through data as a bond, reshaping the value creation model of the welding factory through efficient collaboration, intelligent decision-making, and optimized resource allocation, injecting strong momentum into the competitiveness of the enterprise.

Huang An, the president of Tianyi Welding Research Institute, delivered a speech titled “AI Drives the Intelligent Development of Welding and Embodied Intelligent Robots”. He elaborated on the impact of artificial intelligence on the welding industry, revealed how AI can make the “brain” and “eyes” of welding robots more precise, and explained how Tianyi’s over 30 years of process technology experience can be combined with vertical AI applications to become the true core technological accumulation of the enterprise.

Tian Yi Welding’s Chief Engineer Tang Fang delivered a speech titled “Building a National-level Process Engineering Center to Facilitate the High-Quality Development of Enterprises”. He summarized the breakthrough welding process problems encountered in the first half of the year and made a phased work plan for aspects such as medium-thick plate welding, non-ferrous metal welding, research on laser arc composite welding for thick plates, research on laser self-melting welding for thick plates, and research on laser wire feeding welding for thick plates.

Yi Yijie, the deputy general manager of Tianyi Welding, delivered a speech titled “Crossing Boundaries, Connecting the Global Tianyi Intelligent Market Strategy and Vision”. In his talk, he conducted a profound analysis of the current global trend of “not going global means losing out”, and scientifically planned the development trend of Tianyi Intelligence. By basing it in Hunan and expanding to the entire country, and then going overseas, he presented a strategic layout that enables global welding users to enjoy the high-quality services of the entire Chinese welding industry chain.

Subsequently, the heads of the main divisions and subsidiaries of the group, namely Guo Dingming from the Automation Division, Peng Heshi from Tianchen Laser, Zhu Chunsheng from the General Division, Liang Hongbing from the Standard Products Division, Zeng Jianming from Tianxin Manufacturing Division, and Qiao Lei from Welding Industry, respectively presented their work reports on the business situation in the first half of 2025. In their reports, they directly addressed the core issues such as business expansion, cost control, and team building, and formulated solutions and implementation plans that were in line with the actual situation, providing solid data support and decision-making assistance for the overall operation of the group.

In 2025, the challenges of the overall environment became increasingly prominent. Although the journey in the first half of the year was not easy, Tian Ren always adhered to Deloitte as its foundation, with the core values of “respecting heaven and loving others” serving as a guiding light. With wisdom, it broke through obstacles and with sweat, it opened up new paths. Today’s recognition of excellence is not only a celebration of the past, but also a tribute to this spiritual strength, highlighting the responsibility of walking hand in hand with the mission.

The achievements of the first half of the year have set the stage, and the journey of the second half has officially begun! Facing an increasingly complex environment and higher goals, we must hold onto the “basic tasks” position. Therefore, General Manager Duan Jianbao issued the “2025 Basic Responsibility Task Book” to each division and subsidiary. He hopes that this “military order” symbolizing responsibility and commitment will serve as an inspiring call to rally everyone and lead them to charge forward to successfully achieve the 2025 annual goals!

The final item of the conference was summarized and instructed by Chairman Ye Mingqiang: Chairman Ye first reviewed the 30-year journey of Tianyi Welding and summarized the achievements in the first half of 2025 in four aspects: market consolidation, digitalization exploration, internationalization layout, and team building. He also analyzed the current situation and the problems and deficiencies of the enterprise in greater depth.

He pointed out that in the future, the enterprise should anchor on the vision of “National First-Class, World Brand”, and take “Digitalization, Internationalization, Process Engineeringization” (three aspects) as the strategic guidance. Through “Sharing, Collaboration, Empowerment, Innovation” to promote industrial upgrading, specifically implement the “Three Layouts”: “Strengthen the foundation, stabilize the basic position; Upgrade the momentum, strengthen the core business; Layout the future, seize the global initiative”.
To ensure the implementation of the strategy, the work deployment for the half-year is as follows:

Mechanism side: Optimize assessment, stimulate motivation. Incorporate digital transformation, international expansion and other strategic goals into the assessment indicators; Pilot the “Project Investment System”, where core project teams can participate in income distribution and share risks and achievements; Establish an “Innovation Error-Tolerance Mechanism”, to be inclusive and encouraging of bold attempts due to exploration and innovation.
Director Ye emphasized that currently, the enterprise is in a crucial period of “stepping up and overcoming difficulties”. The pain of the transition between old and new energy sources is inevitable. However, we firmly believe that as long as all the staff unite with a common goal, shared understanding, and coordinated actions, and carry forward the spirit of “enduring hardship, being bold in taking action, and being patient”, embracing change and keeping up with the times, we will definitely be able to achieve the leap from “a leading enterprise in Hunan” to “a top-notch enterprise nationwide” and then to “a world-renowned brand”!

Technology side: Accelerate digital transformation, break through innovation bottlenecks. Complete the full-process digital transformation of the Tianxin base pilot production line within the year; Establish a special group for intelligent welding robots, cooperate with universities and research institutions to develop prototypes; Promote the standardization of non-standard products.

Team side: Unify thoughts, enhance capabilities. Conduct multiple activities to create an enterprise atmosphere of “Thinking together, working together”; Organize digital skills training for all staff, send key personnel to overseas for investigation and learning, cultivate an international perspective, implement the “Mentorship System”; Let veteran employees pass on practical experience, new employees share digital thinking, achieve “Passing on and Assisting” and “Mutual Empowerment”.
