On December 9, 2024, the China Welding Association Robot Welding (Changsha) Training Base held a renewal and unveiling ceremony at Changsha Tianyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. After the contract signing, the Changsha training base will be upgraded and renamed as “China Welding Association (Changsha) Modern Welding Technology College”, focusing on training “intelligent welding operators and welding engineering technicians”. Vice Secretary Wu Jiupeng of the China Welding Association, Secretary Song Nan, President Mark Xiang of the Hunan Welding Association, Chairman Ye Mingqiang of Tianyi Welding Group, Honorary Chairman Huang Lixin, General Manager Duan Jianbao, Chief Expert Wang Yusheng, Vice President Tang Fang, Vice President Li Zhiming, President Huang An of the Welding Research Institute, and Vice Director Chen Huangkun attended this contract signing and unveiling ceremony.
Before the meeting began, Vice Secretary Wu Jiupeng and his delegation, accompanied by General Manager Duan Jianbao and others, visited and inspected the training and examination sites of the Welding Technology Institute.
In December 2021, the Robot Welding Department of the China Welding Association (the training base in Changsha was established at the Zhuzhou base of Tianyi Welding Group), and it began to conduct training and evaluation for robot welding operators and robot welding technicians. Over the past four years, the college has successfully trained and provided a large number of professional welding technical talents for the welding industry, achieving remarkable results.
Deputy General Manager Tang Fang stated that they will take the opportunity of establishing the Modern Welding Technology Institute as a starting point, continuously summarize experiences, constantly explore and innovate, leverage the platform advantages of the China Welding Association, and utilize their own characteristics to continuously cultivate and provide high-skilled welding technology application talents for the industry.
Vice Secretary Wu Jiupeng highly praised the practical training conditions and teaching achievements of the training base in Changsha. He pointed out that Tianyi Welding has maintained close cooperation with the China Welding Association for many years and has provided strong support for the association’s work. The training work has achieved excellent results and has gained high trust from industry practitioners. He hopes that in the next step, they will continue to strengthen cooperation and jointly contribute to the cultivation of talents in the welding industry.
In the presence of all the participants, Song Nan, the secretary of the China Welding Association, and Tang Fang, the deputy general manager, officially signed the “Authorization Agreement” on behalf of both parties.
Vice Secretary Wu Jiupeng and Chairman Ye Mingqiang jointly inaugurated the Modern Welding Technology Institute.
Finally, Chairman Ye Mingqiang expressed his hope that in the future cooperation process, both parties would achieve even greater success, enhance the professional quality of talents for more industry clients, inject vitality into the development of intelligent welding, and contribute their share to the strategic development of Hunan’s “Three Highs and Four New” goals.
